The Very First to Take a Chance on SNB!
Lindsay and Shane were the very first potential clients to visit to Starry Night Barn in the summer of 2016. The barn and property were completely torn apart and I was nervous to even allow visitors at this early stage. But Nikki Kleinrichert, Lindsay and Shane’s wedding planner and all-around master of event design and staging, shared in my vision and could see where SNB was headed. Despite the fact that the barn had no floors, the property was dug up and everywhere you looked there were rotten beams and posts awaiting replacement, they jumped in feet first and watched as the barn slowly took shape. Lindsay and Shane’s September wedding day was hot and humid but the skies were blue and it was a gorgeous summer night. They were married in the barn, supported by friends and family with brew-based vows and the doors open for a welcomed breeze. It was a fabulous Starry Night with a fun crowd vested in dancing the night away. We are so honored to have hosted Lindsay and Shane, their families and friends. Cheers to a life of happiness and love.
Kind Words
Wedding Details
Lindsay and her wedding party arrived in style in a plush limo provided by Grand Traverse Tours while their guests were shuttled from Traverse City by Magic Shuttle Bus. Lindsay and Shane made excellent use of Starry Night Barn’s celebration areas. The day started with the main barn set for the wedding ceremony, with the back doors double-draped by Sweet Seats and held tight by Nikki Kleinrichert’s (Dragonfly Events) Floral ties. Nikki was also Lindsay and Shane’s wedding planner! A large tent provided by Monstrey MacDonald with 307 Events’ sitting areas and tables for cocktail and hors-d’oeurves helped guests stay cool and shaded after the ceremony. Chef’s Pride, the event caterer, staged food and drinks in the lower barn lounge and when the ceremony ended the main barn was set with tables for dinner and dancing for a party of 175!
